WHY MISSION MATTERS

Our motivation for mission is seen in the verses of Ephesians 3:17-19.
“And I pray that you, being rooted and established in love, may have power, together with all the Lord’s holy people, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ, and to know this love that surpasses knowledge—that you may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God."
Once we grasp the depth of God’s love for us, we are compelled to share it with others and to respond to the ‘Great Commission’ given by Jesus to the church: -
“Go to all peoples everywhere, baptising them in the name of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you” Matthew 28:19-20
“When the Holy Spirit comes upon you, you will be filled with power, and you will be witnesses for me in Jerusalem, in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth." Acts 1:8

OUR CURRENT MISSION
PARTNERS
We currently partner with 8 different missions and form these partnerships through members of St John's church that have existing relationships with the organisation. These partnerships are regulalrly reviewed and we are always open to new partnerships. We look to support these missionary relationships with regular service updates, prayer and financial support.
