PRIVACY STATEMENT

The General Data Protection Regulations, or GDPR, is the new data privacy law introduced in the UK, and we want you to know we are whole-heartedly committed to adhering to those regulations and keeping your personal information safe.  At the heart of this is our Privacy Policy (https://www.stjb.org.uk/privacy-policy) which makes it clearer how we use the data you give us.

We’d love to keep in touch with you in the most relevant way and GDPR allows us to continue doing this because of what’s called ‘legitimate interest’, but we need to remind you that there are always quick and easy ways that you can make changes to what you receive from St John’s Owlerton.  You don’t need to do anything unless you want the way we contact you to change.  If you no longer wish to be contacted by St John’s Owlerton, please use the unsubscribe links on our future communications.  Alternatively, to let us know about any changes you’d like to make, or to stop future communications, you can email the Church Administrator at office@stjb.org.uk.

If reading our Privacy Policy (https://www.stjb.org.uk/privacy-policy) isn’t your thing, we want you to know that we’re committed to continuing to look after the personal data you entrust to us in line with the higher standards of the new GDPR regulations.  And to be clear, we do not and we will not sell your information to anyone.  We will not share your information with anyone else for marketing purposes. However, we may share your information within the Church of England when there is a legitimate reason.  If we needed to share your information with anyone outside of the Church of England, we would ask for your consent first, unless there is a legal basis to do so.

Thank you for your interest and support for St John’s Owlerton.
