I heard it said the other day “why pray when you can worry?”
Worrying is something we are generally pretty good at; it’s easy to do, it can take up large portions of our day and can easily consume us. But we are reminded again and again with scripture that there is no need for it and that we shouldn’t do it. This week I spoke a little about the instruction found in Matthew 6 that says “Do not worry about tomorrow” and I spoke about my personal need to trust God to provide – it is an amazing place to get to when each day you are trusting God. Every time I see God move, or act, or provide I am blown away by how great God is – how this God who created the universe cares enough about me to make sure I’m ok.
